Kidd Insurances are proud to be celebrating our 85th anniversary with a move to our new offices close to Nutgrove Shopping Centre, in Dublin's south city suburb of Rathfarnham.

Alan B. Kidd and Co. was founded in 1919 as a General Insurance Brokerage by the late Alan Kidd, a well known golfer and one time president of the Golfing Union of Ireland. We are one of the oldest independent broking companies in Ireland.

Kidd Insurances, as we are now known today, also has an associated company called Brownell Insurances, set up in 1975, as a subsidiary. Brownell Insurances provides our clients with advice on arranging Life and Pensions covers, in addition to acting as a Mortgage Intermediary.

Over the years we have developed a number of exclusive products, which we also offer to our clients through a number of other brokers, such as playgroups, crèche and Montessori school insurance, holiday home and mobile home/caravan insurance facilities, and even a facility for arranging cover on thatched properties.

Our Chairman Eddie Brownell believes that the major reason for our company's success is based on the philosophy of offering a very personalised service, despite of our growing client list which includes both a portfolio of business and personal customers.

As the insurance industry grows bigger and even the banks join in the rush to get a share of the business, people can find themselves faced with a bewildering array of products, and sometimes a highly impersonal service.

Additionally with the advent of the direct insurers the need to obtain independent and impartial advice on the important yet complex area of insurance has never been greater.
